I have my two red ear sliders in a 55 gallon tank, theryre about 4 to 5 inches across. I can fill the tank for maximum swimming space and they can go up to the “penthouse” for a nap via the ramp, stay dry with all the proper lighting and plenty of space for both of them to bask. The underneath underwater bench is where they sleep and rest during the night. They are secure and extremely happy little guys. We found them wandering around our back porch when they were no bigger then quarters. Today they live in the lap of luxury with their own penthouse. I highly recommend this topper to anyone with a tank. The suction cups on either side secure to most any size tank..I love this product and am so happy someone put it on the market! It beats those suction docks big time and the turtles stay completely dry, very important!

I purchased this product for my two RES and have loved it since it arrived. The turtles adjusted to it immediately, and bask on it several times a day. The plastic on top is sturdy and fits standard light clamps well, and the grate on top allows for easy access.

I have one very minor issue. When you have two lamps clamped, you can’t open the door on top. Sure, you can take the clamps off, but having to re-set up the lights the exact way you want after makes it not worth it. A door on the side would have been nice, but I really don’t have a problem just taking the top off. All in all, I absolutely love the Turtle Topper, and at around fifty bucks you really can’t go wrong. Great price for an amazing product, I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you Reptology!
