I love this product. Living in Florida with two cats who can go in and out at will can be problematic 9 months out of the year. Within 12 hours, Advantage has killed all the fleas on my cats and I don’t ever get an infestation problem in the house. The application lasts about a month and I don’t see a flea on them during that time. On a side note, I tried one of the less expensive Advantage-like remedies, and my cat became ill for a few days. In other words, I don’t recommend trying to save a few dollars when Advantage works like a charm.

Ordered Advantage for Cats over 9 pounds in the 6 pack size. Amazon had the best price I could find. Bayer makes this product which is very effective for immediately kills adult fleas (as opposed to othe products that only kill the eggs). However, it appears that Bayer has, and continues, to spend a lot of time and resources to make sure that no one any where sells this product below a certain price they want which I’ve documented going up every month and is rapidly approaching $10 a month per treatment (per cat). I have 5 rescued cats so the price adds up to $50 per month to treat them for fleas. Every source I could find that sold this product at bargin prices has been forced to cease selling it. This use to be called price fixing. Nevertheless, the product works very well. As soon as I can find another product that will kill adult fleas for less money than the outrageous price of Bayer’s Advantage, I will switch. My order arrived very fast and was well packaged. I will use this merchant again. The 5 star rating is for the retail merchant, Amazon and the effectiveness of the product.

I was debating whether to purchase frontline or advantage for a few days. This was my first time purchasing a product to kill my cats fleas. I ended up choosing advantage for a few reasons. One reason is the price was a little cheaper and was offered with free shipping. The second reason is with Advantage you do not have to shower your cat and wait two days to apply the treatment. Although frontline does kill ticks you might get more for your money but then again my cat does not have a tick problem. The applications were really easy to apply. Instructions are really clear and self explanatory. My poor cat was meowing in distress for days and I would comb him and use flea sprays but the fleas just kept coming. So I use advantage on him and I was just amazed on how quick and well it works. I combed his fur and not one flea was found except for some dead ones. It has been two weeks and my cat has not been meowing. He is enjoying life and sleeping in peace again. I recommend this product to anyone who has a cat with a flea problem. Quick and easy to use.

I shopped around and this was the best price around for the genuine product. I had read an article on it stating that you should always make sure the ones you are buying are made in the USA for the genuine Advantage. If it’s made in Germany or anywhere else, it is not the real thing! My cat handles it well and it seems to work well because he rarely scratches. He is an indoor cat though, so the vet said to use up the 6 month supply and if he still seemed ok that he didn’t need to continue using it. So don’t let your vet talk you into continuing it just so they can make more money.

I ordered the Advantage orange topical flea treatment for cats, I have used this product before with no problems. The package arrived quickly but the Advantage caused my cats hair to fall out (only in the spot where the treatment was applied) this is the reason I feel that it was the cause. I am scared to put this on another cat to see if it will happen again, so I will just order another brand from another distributor in case of possible contamination. Seller was very quick with the delivery so I don’t really have a problem with them.
